Records of the historic Muirfield Golf Club in Gullane can be traced to the mid-18th century, before it was fully established on its current site in 1891. It’s famously home to The Honourable Company of Edinburgh Golfers, the world’s oldest golf club.  

The Course

Muirfield’s 18 holes are artfully arranged over two circuits, demanding continual adjustments for the prevailing wind. It’s considered a beautifully balanced challenge by the formidable roster of players who’ve graced its greens. 

Fair Play

What makes Muirfield a player favourite is the fairness of its design. With one exception, landing areas are visible and flat – with no sneaky hidden bunkers to catch you out.
